Hello WKND AI Warriors!
Claude Opus 4.6 is now optimized for finance teams, helping analyze large data rooms and build spreadsheets, memos, and decks with stronger multi-step reasoning.
Also, Perplexity launched a Model Council feature that asks multiple AI systems the same question and merges their answers so users can see where models agree or disagree.
Plus, Anthropic says Claude will stay ad-free and focused on being a neutral “thinking space” rather than an advertising platform.
Oh yeah, and Moltbook, the AI Agent social network, Moltbook suffered a breach that exposed some real users’ messages and login details, showing how experimental AI platforms still carry real security risks.

📰 AI NEWS RECAP
Claude Opus 4.6 Just Dropped🦾
Finance AI just took a quiet step forward.
Anthropic released Claude Opus 4.6, a model designed to handle long financial documents, large datasets, and multi-step analysis in one pass.
That sounds technical.
The real change is simpler.
The gap between raw data and first draft just got smaller.
Instead of:
Gather inputs
Build analysis
Draft slides
Write commentary
The model can now assemble the first version.
Humans step in to verify, interpret, and decide.
What this shifts
Mechanical analysis becomes faster
Decision making becomes the bottleneck
Judgment becomes more valuable than formatting skills
What smart teams will do
Redesign workflows around faster first drafts
Spend less time assembling reports
Spend more time deciding what the numbers mean
The technology improves every quarter.
The real advantage goes to the teams that change how they work when it does.
Moltbook, an AI-focused social network, suffered a security breach that exposed some human users’ DMs and login details on a platform mostly filled with bots. The incident highlights how experimental “agent” networks can still create very real privacy and security risks for the humans testing them.
In a recent interview, Sam Altman outlined a future where OpenAI builds dedicated hardware, powers big entertainment deals, and invests in AI infrastructure at near national-project scale. He predicts huge revenue growth by 2030 and sees progress toward AGI coming from many steady advances rather than one big breakthrough.
Google’s Gemini app has passed 750 million monthly active users worldwide, adding about 100 million in a single quarter. Usage is rising as people lean on multimodal chat and early agent features for everything from homework to work tasks.
Perplexity’s Model Council sends a question to multiple leading models at once and then synthesizes their answers into a single response. It also surfaces where the models disagree, helping users get more reliable outputs and spot blind spots in any one system.
Anthropic says it wants Claude to remain a “space to think,” keeping it ad-free and free of paid placements. The company frames Claude more like a neutral notebook or whiteboard that works only for the user, not for advertisers or sponsors.
OpenAI’s new Frontier platform is aimed at enterprises that want AI agents to run real business processes, not just answer questions. It provides tools for defining each agent’s identity and permissions, monitoring performance, and managing governance so companies can safely move from pilots into full production.
