How To Use Gemini AI At Work
How to use Google Sheets latest AI feature at work.
(And how to 10x your finance org's productivity)
Google just added a new AI function to Sheets.
=AI()
Just type '=AI()' and explain what you want AI to do.
Why this matters for finance teams:
☑️ Streamline monthly commentary.
☑️ Generate insights from your numbers.
☑️ Categorize your numbers without manual tagging.
What leaders should know:
📈 It updates as you add new data.
Automatically.
📈 Accuracy checks are still needed.
Good for prep and drafts, not final filings.
📈 It is capped at 200 cells per run.
Think “daily tasks” not “entire data warehouse”.
How to start:
1️⃣ Pick one repetitive spreadsheet task your team dreads.
2️⃣ Test =AI() to get the first draft or analysis.
3️⃣ Have analysts refine, not rebuild.
4️⃣ Track the time saved. Repeat.
My take:
AI is no longer a separate tool you need to log into.
It is part of the tools your team already uses every day.
Making adoption faster, and transformation more practical.
